It’s been a few weeks since my NYX haul and I’m finally ready to post an official review of the NYX Conceal Correct Contour Palette. Now when I first got this palette and swatched it, I was immediately impressed but in an effort to do the good beauty blogger thing, I waited at least a lil bit before I started raving about it. Welp. I’m still impressed. This palette is loveeee.
As most of you know, there is a similar powder palette available as well but I preferred to try the cream first. I think I will go grab the other one just to see how it holds up agains this one because hunny. I love it. I got the darkest of the three palettes in Deep, there are 6 shades in this palette and I use at least 3 of them regularly, add a fourth if I’m feeling fancy :).
As soon as I touched this palette I took note of how creamy it was. I’ve tried drugstore or–for lack of better words–cheaper cream contour palettes and the product isn’t really…creamy. I was expecting to have to dig a little to pick up the product but that wasn’t the case at all. I use my fingers to apply this, not sure if you’d get the same results with a brush but I generally apply and/or blend my concealer with my fingers so I didn’t think to much about trying it any other way. I found that upon application it doesn’t distribute AS easily as you’d think based on the creaminess of the product but that doesn’t take anything away from how it well it works. It looks great under makeup and on its on it depending on what you use it for. I really love how the color correcting shades makes my BB Cream look so much nicer. And as far as how I use it…outlined below.
I said before I heard mixed reviews about this palette but I love it. If you aren’t used to concealing and contouring it may take a few tries to figure out which colors work best for you and where but a few Youtube tutorials and you should be fine! Speaking of which, I did a quick Get Ready with Me video featuring this palette and how I use it. Check it out and if you like it please thumbs and subscribe!
Stay blessed beautiful!
