Her Life: Hello December

Sheesh it’s really December…Life has been HECTIC. And the thing about life is, it’s goes on whether you’re ready for it or not. So while I’m still gathering my thoughts and wrapping my head around lots of things, here we are… December 1st.

November was a rough month. Life met us with a few minor obstacles that had me rethinking and reflecting. A lot. Towards the end of the month I barely posted at all. Call that me figuring out my life. It’s funny because October was one of the most successful months for me when it comes to the blog and this entrepreneurial journey I’m on. And then November was like…but…wait…what happened?? After dealing with a multitude of feelings and being stuck somewhere between over and under-whelmed, divine intervention helped me get out of that funk and refocus on the month ahead.

Besides October (my babies birthday month), December is my favorite month. The Christmas season, the hope that a new year brings, and spending quality time with my family makes this truly the most wonderful time of the year. While the first 3 weeks of November were a pretty tense, things started to change pace towards the end of the month. It makes me think of that spiritual phrase “All things are working together for your good”. All the pieces that got strewn around in the beginning of the month started to fall in place. And the pieces fit so perfectly you can NOT tell me otherwise that everything happens for a very specific reason in life. My theme for October was Progress and I carried that into November as well. I went into the month just thinking how can I progress to make this month greater than the last, or in other terms, get one step closer to living my dream. I remember watching Super Soul Sunday a few backs with Elizabeth Gilbert and she mentioned that every time she thinks she’s reached the highest level, she reaches an even higher level. I wanted to carry that thought into my month.

I feel like November was a month of planting and I’m just thankful and blessed for the seeds and for the weeds that had to go. Going into December with a newfound determination and focus on living and walking in purpose. In my life, I look forward to a time of reflection, preparing, and joy. I can’t wait to do all the fun Christmas activities and Kwanzaa celebrations the month will bring. As for the blog, planning for 2015 is WELL underway and there will be a redesign in the coming weeks (before the New Year) I’m excited! Definitely putting out those coins to invest in my dreams so you know that it’s real. I’ve also signed a new client… that’s kind of a big deal… and I’ll be contributing to the January and March issues of CosmoBiz, soooo decent to see my work in a magazine. LOVEEE.

I hope your month is filled with love and joy! Tell me what you have planned for the last month of 2014! Stay blessed beautiful!

    Good morning BOO!

congrats on your features in the magazine. Thats so BIG.

The ending of my November and the beginning of December has been pretty much the same feelings you describe in this post for me. Balancing school, work, blogging, and other things has just left me a bit flustered, but reading your pot was refreshing and inspiring. You’ve definitely just inspired to keep going anyway because everything will work out perfectly in God’s timing.

Hugs & Kisses and we still owe each other a date!
